Aftercare
Thank you for choosing Zen Kay Therapy.
Following your treatment, it's important to give your body time to rest, recover, and respond to the work that has been carried out. If possible, allow yourself some quiet time and avoid rushing back into a busy schedule.
Everyone responds differently to massage therapy. Many clients feel relaxed, refreshed, and experience reduced tension immediately after treatment. Others may notice temporary changes as their body adapts to the treatment.
You may experience:
-
Mild soreness or tenderness in treated areas
-
Temporary tiredness or fatigue
-
Increased thirst
-
Feeling deeply relaxed or sleepy
-
Emotional release or feeling more emotional than usual
-
Temporary changes in sleep patterns
-
Increased awareness of areas of tension within the body
These responses are usually short-lived and should settle within 24-48 hours.
If you experience anything that concerns you or symptoms persist, please contact your GP, NHS 111, or an appropriate healthcare professional.
Pregnancy & Postnatal Clients:
If you have received a pregnancy or postnatal massage, continue to follow any advice provided by your midwife, GP, or healthcare team. If you notice any unusual symptoms following treatment, please seek medical advice promptly.
