Sports Massage
What is Sports Massage?
Sports Massage is a targeted treatment designed to help relieve muscular tension, improve mobility, aid recovery, and reduce discomfort caused by physical activity, repetitive movements, work-related strain, or everyday life.
Do I have to be an athlete to have a Sports Massage?
Not at all. Sports Massage is suitable for anyone experiencing muscular tension, aches, pains, postural issues, or reduced mobility, regardless of activity level.
Will a Sports Massage be painful?
Sports Massage can involve deeper pressure than a relaxation massage, but treatment should always remain within your comfort levels. Pressure will be discussed and adjusted throughout your session.
How is Sports Massage different to a Deep Tissue Massage?
A deep tissue massage focuses on releasing tension in deeper muscle layers using firm pressure. A sports massage goes a step further by assessing how your muscles are functioning and using a range of techniques to improve movement, aid recovery, and address specific problem areas or injuries. You don't need to play sports to benefit from a sports massage. People who sit at desks all day, parents lifting their children, working in physical jobs, or experience postural issues can benefit from sports massage even if they don't participate in sport.
What should I wear to a Sports Massage appointment?
Wear comfortable clothing. Depending on the area being treated, you may be asked to remove certain layers. Professional draping will always be used to ensure your comfort and privacy.
How often should I have a Sports Massage?
This depends on your goals, activity levels, and any ongoing issues. Your therapist will discuss a suitable treatment plan during your
appointment.
Pregnancy Massage
Can I have a massage during pregnancy?

What are the benefits of Pregnancy Massage?
How will I be positioned during the treatment?

Do I need approval from my Midwife or GP?
Certain medical conditions or pregnancy complications may require approval from your Midwife, Consultant, or GP before treatment can proceed.
Postnatal Massage
When can I have a Postnatal Massage?
Your body has been through an incredible journey. Postnatal massage is available once you have been medically cleared and feel ready for treatment, typically from 6 weeks after a vaginal birth and 8–12 weeks after a caesarean birth. Every recovery is different, so your treatment will always be adapted to your individual needs and stage of healing.
Postnatal Massage may help:

Relieve muscular tension from feeding, carrying, and caring for your baby

There is no rush, no pressure, and no need to worry about sticking to a schedule. We'll create a calm, supportive space where you can relax, recharge, and enjoy a restorative treatment while tending to your little one whenever needed.

What is Hypnobirthing?
Hypnobirthing is a complete birth preparation programme that combines evidence-based education, breathing techniques, relaxation tools, and mindset preparation to help you approach birth with confidence and calm.
